Terms of service.

Booking and scheduling

  • All Experiences must have a minimum of two participants.

  • Experiences must be paid for in full when booking.

  • Most Experiences should be booked at least 48 hours in advance.

    • Some options may not be available if they do not meet the minimum number of participants or are not booked in advance.

    • Some experiences may be booked down to 12h in advance. Please contact us directly for last minute bookings.

  • The experiences are suject to changes due to vineyards’ availability. Alternatives will be reccommended.


Vehicle and Experience Exclusivity

The vehicles have the following capacity:

  • Model X - 6 seats: 5 reserved for customers and the driver/guide seat.

  • Model S - 5 seats: 4 reserved for customers and the driver/guide seat. We recommend the participation of up to 3 passengers in this vehicle.

If you do not choose the private mode, the Experience can be shared with other customers who choose the same experience, on the same date.

Children and Infants

  • Experiences are for adults only.

Included in Experiences:

Pick Up & Drop off:

  • Meeting point - Gonçalo Cristovão street https://maps.app.goo.gl/dviTLWp1NJbSj4ze9 - for semi-private experiences (unless otherwise agreed with Portugal EV Tours);

  • At the accommodation or closest convenient location in Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia (VNG), or the Douro for private experiences (always pending confirmation);

  • There will be no refunds or discounts due to “pick up and/or drop off inconvenience” because of the Municipal regulation.

Entrances to places to visit in Experiences;

Activities included in the Experiences (tastings, lunch, transport, etc.);

Complimentary services:

  • Water;

  • Wi-Fi and USB sockets for charging mobile devices.

Included in Transfers:

  • Pick up and Drop Off at your accommodation or closest convenient location;

  • Driver / guide;

  • Tolls, Charging for our EVs (equivalent to fuel), all insurances required by law.

Excluded from Experiences and Transfers:

  • Personal expenses;

  • Tips

  • Other expenses not mentioned in the Experiences and Transfers.

  • Exclusions only applicable to transfers - Tickets to museums, attractions, meals, etc…

Languages

  • Experiences are guided by a driver/guide fluent in Portuguese, English, and French.

    • Please indicate your preferred language when booking.

  • In the case of Semi-Private Experiences, the reference language will be English.

Cancellation and refunds

  • A cancellation by Portugal EV Tours entitles you to reschedule the Experience or to a full refund of the amounts paid.

  • Withdrawals in the period of 1 week prior to the Experience or no-show do not confer the right to refund but the experience can be rescheduled for any date up to 2 years after the original date and pending availability.

  • Withdrawals up to 1 week prior to the Experience entitle you to a refund of amounts paid (minus 5% due to the transaction fee) or rescheduling of the Experience up to 2 years after the original date and pending availability.

  • After the Experience, there will be no compensation except for an unforeseen situation attributable to Portugal EV Tours.

  • No-show policy: for shared experiences, there is a 15-minute tolerance after the agreed pick-up time (as to not impact significantly the other participants of the experience); for private experiences, there is a 5-minute tolerance after the agreed pick-up time. If the participants do not show after the tolerance time without any kind of warning or contact, it will be considered a no-show with no right for a refund or rescheduling.

  • Regardless of contacting Portugal EV Tours or not, we will not exceed a tolerance period of 30min. Customers not present or ready will be considered as no-shows, with no right to a refund or reschedule.

  • If a custom pick-up time and/or location is requested for a private experience, there will be no tolerance period.


  • Medical Cancellations - medical cancellations will be accepted up to the day of the experience. We will also accept cancellations because of (but not limited to):

    • Contracting covid-19;

    • Contact with an infected person and mandatory self-isolation;

    • Government change in travel permissions and policies;

    • Disease or injury preventing the participation on the experience.

  • To be eligible for a refund under the medical cancellation policy, proof will be required. If proper documentation (eg.: medical note, pharmacy invoice) is not provided within 5 days after the intended date of the experience, the refund request will fall under our general cancellation policy.

  • The medical cancellation policy is only applicable to the affected participant.

Right of Admission

Portugal EV Tours reserves the right to refuse the admission of any client or passenger who is intoxicated, inebriated, under the influence of psychoactive substances, and which may pose a risk to the integrity of other clients and passengers, driver or vehicle.

In this situation, there will be no right to any compensation.

We are aware that most of our Experiences are focused on gastronomy and alcoholic beverages. We recommend that you consume the products responsibly so that you can fully enjoy the experiences we provide.

Accidents and insurance

Experiences are insured against physical and personal damage, as required by law.

Damage to the vehicles caused by our customers (accidental, improper use, or negligence) is the responsibility of the customers and Portugal EV Tours reserves the right to be compensated for the damages caused. To prevent these situations, no food or open beverages (other than water) are authorized inside the vehicles.

In any circunstance will Portugal EV Tours be held liable or responsible for any items left in the vehicle after the experience ends.


By booking an experience with Portugal EV Tours the customer agrees and accepts the conditions set out above.
