About Us

Portugal EV Tours was born in early 2018 with the goal of offering sustainable and luxury tours, focusing on small groups and private experiences.

Our motto of Sustainable Tourism and Transportation is applied to all our activities, starting with our vehicles of choice – 100% electric Tesla cars. Our choice of partners also reflects the ecological and sustainable preferences: Quinta do Tedo is among the first vineyards of the Douro Valley to receive a certification for the production of Organic Port Wine. We are also proud to be partners with Quinta de Ventozelo, the crown jewel of the Gran Cruz group, that opened earlier in 2020.

Portugal EV Tours is the first – and thus far the only – company to offer wine experiences in the Douro Valley and other wine regions, using electric vehicles and saving the environment from 80kg / 176lbs of CO2 emissions in each trip.

Portugal EV Tours is also proud of the unique experiences it has developed, such as the Douro Valley – Wine and Stars, a night sky observation experience that also combines wine tastings and typical gastronomy. It was a winning bet since we are the only Tour Operator offering a nighttime experience, starting in 2019, a year before the recognition of the Douro Valley (Tua region) as a Dark Sky Reserve. This further validates our knowledge and understanding of the Valley.

Lastly, in this uncertain year, it is important to note that Portugal EV Tours has adopted all safety measures regarding cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation, which allows us to be recognized as a Clean & Safe entity by Turismo de Portugal (Portugal Tourism Office) and also a Safe Travels entity by the World Travels & Tourism Council.
